There are various types of split air conditioner, including mobile models which you can put it in the room you want to cool and put the condenser just outside, to fitted split air conditioners, where the internal unit is fitted, usually to a wall, and connected to the compressor unit via copper refrigerant tubes. Sometimes these wall mounted air conditioners come in an ‘easy fit’ format, with a precharged set of refrigerant pipes, which de-skills the fitting process of a split wall mounted air conditioner to within the grasp of an electrician or even a skilled DIY'er.

There are several industrial air conditioners available. Sometimes known as spot coolers, these units are ideal for use in computer server rooms, industrial spot cooling processes and 'turnabout' cooling for ships, boats and planes.

Although window air conditioners are not 'de rigueur' as they have been in the past, they are still in the Puravent line up for no other reason that they are cost effective and very easy to fit. For conservatories and cabins they are ideal and often offer very economical heating capability via a heat pump mechanism.

New to our range are the wall mounted monoblock air conditioners. With similar appearance to a storage heater, these heat pump enabled air conditioners are in fact the smart way to space heat many homes.

Ultra violet light is the basis to most of our air purifiers, particularly for equipment that is used to sterilize air and surfaces in the fields of healthcare, defence and food manufacture. Our ‘in-duct’ UV air purifiers are used to treat moving air in ducts and will biologically purify the air of viruses, spores and bacteria. This is a huge benefit for hospitals looking to prevent spread of MRSA, c difficile, as well as a wide range of other air transferred infections. In the food processing field these air purifiers ensure that food is processed and packaged in a biologically clean environment. A tweak to the frequency of the UV in this range of air purifiers makes them ideal for chemically purifying air, making them a vital tool to control odour, and other chemical pollutants.

Puravent also sell electro-static air purifiers, or ESPs as they are known. These are not based on UV but are based on collecting particles and droplets on charged collector plates. These air purifiers are ideal for collection of oils and mists on air flows, and are also used for the collection of smoke and other particles.

There are several fan based electric industrial heaters, which although they range goes up to a hefty 42kw, generally these heaters are used for smaller industrial space heating applications. Even for small applications the industrial heaters that we offer are far more robust that their domestic equivalents, and certainly ideal for domestic applications where aesthetics are not important.  

We include industrial heaters and space heaters that are fuelled by propane or butane; ideal for heating at events. For permanent applications there are industrial space heaters that are fuelled by diesel or kerosene. These industrial space heaters are typically mobile, with a wheeled trolley, are controllable by thermostat and have outputs up to 110 kw. Ideal for use outside, industrial heaters based on infra red technology, heat surfaces rather than the air between the heater and those requiring heat. These industrial radiant heaters, either diesel or electric models, are invaluable for out door site work to heat spots where work needs to take place.  

The electric infra red and halogen industrial heaters are usually available in capacity up to about 3 kw and are often used to heat small work areas or even used in multiples to provide localized radiant warm spots within a larger area.

With a heat recovery system, ventilation becomes an obvious choice that brings other benefits such as lowered levels of pollutants, filtered supply air, and removal of air from more odourous rooms in the building (kitchen and toilets). Heat recovery ventilation systems are known to be hugely beneficial where building occupants are prone to air borne allergies like asthma. Heat recovery ventilation also improves humidity, so that homes that would otherwise suffer from particularly dry air (well sealed centrally heated buildings) will experience increase in humidity, whilst those with particularly humid air would experience a decrease in humidity.
