In addition to portable and mobile cooler units we also offer air conditioners, which although more expensive than an equivalent air cooler, in most cases, offer heat pump functionality which is about the cheapest way to provide heating electrically.

An air cooler is typically known as a swamp cooler in North America, presumably because they operate on the air cooler should only really be used in applications where a room or building is well ventilated with open doors and windows. In less well ventilated applications an air cooler will actually just raise the humidity to the discomfort of the occupants. Evaporative air coolers are ideal for well ventilated domestic applications and for industrial spaces.

Over the years we have learned much about air cooler units and our range reflects our experience. Generally we steer well clear of any cooler model that uses a moving wick. With cheap plastic gearing that drives the wick movement; they tend to break and are very unreliable. We always recommend using an air cooler with a fixed wick and which is irrigated by a simple pump system; far simpler, far more reliable.
